Pocket Spy Sound Recorder

Pocket Spy Sound Recorder

Did you ever have to deal with a toxic boss or harassment at work? Are you tired of dealing with corrupt government officials? Do you need to collect evidence of a crime? Are you an investigative journalist? Do you simply want to be able to record sound at a high professional quality? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then this app is for you.

Pocket Spy Sound Recorder is a hidden sound recording app that allows you to turn your mobile phone or tablet into a powerful listening device, unnoticeable to the people in your surrounding. It is a perfect tool for collecting evidence or investigative journalism. The whole purpose of the app is to secretly record the sound while keeping your device fully usable in the process. The app does not show any annoying adverts and all features of the app are available instantly without any in-app purchases.

When the app launcher icon is clicked, it launches a process in the background, which immediately starts recording all the sounds within the vicinity of your device's microphone. All that you receive in terms of feedback is a subtle message on the screen that says "Started", which is there to reassure you that the sound recording process has indeed started. This message disappears almost as soon as it has appeared, so it has fewer chances of being noticed by any third party. At the same time, a notification titled "Voicemail" appears on Android notification bar, so anyone who will be looking at the screen of your device will not think that something is out of place.

As soon as the notification is dismissed, the recording process is stopped and the data is saved into a file. As soon as this has happened, an on-screen message that says "Done" is briefly shown. If the notification is clicked, the recording process also completes and the list of the files recorded by the app is shown. The files can be listened to, shared, sent as email attachments, transferred to remote media or deleted.

The output files are available on the root of the default storage drive on your device within the PocketSpy folder. The file names have "PSSR_" prefix followed by a formatted date.
